Offerings

Life Gardening

Life Gardening is a project currently funded by Norfolk and Waveney MIND and facilitated by Shona at Buzzards and Worms. These sessions are offered seasonally. We meet at the beginning of spring, summer, autumn and winter and we use nature as a reflective tool, source of support and inspiration.

These sessions invite us to connect with what is happening in nature, and offer time to reflect on how we might notice similar patterns in our own lives. They offer an opportunity to connect with others, share stories and hear how interconnected our lives our with nature.

We Grow Colour

We Grow Colour is all about remembering the ancient craft of dyeing with plants, connecting people through foraging and growing plants and flowers whilst learning how to harvest colour and create with natural dyeing techniques.

Sessions are run at Marlpit Community Garden, twice a month. You can read about the garden here. The sessions are open to all skill levels, from beginners to more experienced dyers and plant growers wanting to share their skills.

We grow Community

We Grow Community is an intergenerational growing project at Marlpit Community Garden in Norwich. All ages are welcome, solo folk, families, those with lots of growing experience, those with little, those with none. (Anyone under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult.)

This project focuses on bringing people of all ages together, in nature, to take an active part in learning about and getting stuck into growing food. We often hear that people want to grow food and don’t feel like they know how to, or say they aren’t ‘green fingered’ enough! So, we dreamed up We Grow Community to help people feel more confident about growing food…and to even enjoy it! And together it is much more fun!

Forest School

Forest School is all about fostering a deepening relationship between humans and nature. Forest School is for all ages…not just for children!

We have facilitated Forest School with folk in their 90’s and they are testament that you are never too old to have fun and learn new skills in nature.
